吉隆坡：外出关怀 Providing outdoor care with recitation ⎮ 2023.09.06

🙏因缘：因道场的莲友祈请，净本师父前往巴生政府医院探望其父亲（关老先生），提供念佛关怀服务。其父亲高龄，这两个星期病情反复。老人家有说，前几天身体还出现输血后排斥的情况，但他之前已有听女儿劝说念佛，所以不舒服的时候，赶紧念佛。结果没有想到念佛一阵子以后，身体舒服了很多，所以说一定有佛力加持。
Due to a request from a devoted lotus friend, Master Jingben went to the Klang Government Hospital to visit her father (Mr. Kwan) to provide Nianfo care services. Mr. Kwan is elderly and has been experiencing fluctuations in his health over the past two weeks. A few days ago, he even experienced a rejection reaction after a blood transfusion. However, he had been advised by his daughter to recite Namo Amituofo when he was feeling unwell. Whenever he felt discomfort, he quickly started reciting the Buddha's name. Surprisingly, after reciting for a while, he felt much better, which he attributed to the blessings of the Buddha.
🙏本来这次师父前去是为了提供临终开示，岂料老人家似乎越念佛，越有精神；本来心脏衰弱，跳动次数只剩下每分钟三十次，但今天已经恢复到正常每分钟六十多次，医生说可以出院了。真的不可思议，因为上个星期老人家还陷入昏迷，家属也开始准备身后事，没想到现在还能如常出院。师父抵达的时候，老人家非常有精神地坐起来跟师父聊天互动，还帮忙师父找椅子给师父就坐。师父都说，这是他关怀过“最有精神”的病人了。
Initially, Master Jingben's visit was intended to provide near-life-end guidance, but it seemed that Mr. Kwan's condition has improved as he has continued to recite Namo Amituofo. His heart, which was originally weak with a heart beat rate of only thirty beats per minute, has now returned to normal with a rate of over sixty beats per minute. The doctors have said he can be discharged. It's truly miraculous because it was just last week that he was in a coma and his family had started making preparations for his passing. Nobody had expected that he would recover and be discharged as he is now. When Master Jingben arrived, Mr. Kwan was very lively, sitting up and chatting with him enthusiastically. He even helped Master Jingben find a chair to sit on. Master Jingben remarked that Mr. Kwan was the "most spirited" patient he had ever cared for.
🙏老人家虽然知道念佛很好，但是不知道念佛具体是为了做什么，而且老人家思想开明，师父说到念佛可以到阿弥陀佛极乐世界，临终会有阿弥陀佛亲自来接引，都欢喜接受。包括老人家也有问到给过世的朋友念有没有效？师父说，当然有效，如果有念佛，还能让已故朋友到阿弥陀佛净土。老人家听到就说，那更简单，更好了。不知不觉医院探访时间已到，最后师父送给老人家佛卡。老人家看到说这一尊是以后会来接引他的佛就很欢喜，把佛卡带在身上。
Although Mr. Kwan knew that reciting Namo Amituofo was beneficial, he didn't understand the specific purpose of doing so. However, with an open mind, he readily accepted Master Jingben's explanation that reciting the Buddha's name could lead to rebirth in Amitabha Buddha's Pure Land and that Amitabha Buddha would personally deliver him at the time of passing away. He also asked whether reciting for deceased friends would be effective, to which Master Jingben assured him that it would indeed be effective and that it could also help the departed friends reach Amitabha Buddha's Pure Land. Mr. Kwan was pleased to hear this and found it even simpler and better. As the hospital visit time came to an end, Master Jingben gave Mr. Kwan an Amitabha Buddha card, which Mr. Kwan happily accepted, believing that this Buddha would guide him in the future, keeping the card with him at all times.
🙏莲友感恩师父的来到，因为她一直不知道如何劝父亲说念佛往生极乐世界的事情，那这次有师父亲自给老人家开示，父亲一定更安心，而且看到父亲看到师父以后分享许多念佛的心得也感到惊讶，因为父亲一直都没有跟她说过念佛的任何事情。
The lotus friend was grateful for Master's visit because she had never known how to encourage her father to recite for rebirth in the Pure Land. With Master giving guidance personally to her father this time, he will surely be more at ease. Additionally, she was surprised to see her father sharing many insights about reciting Namo Amituofo after meeting Master, as he had never discussed anything related to recitation with her before.
🙏祈愿弥陀慈父加持关老先生，身心舒适，安心念佛。南無阿彌陀佛。
May Amitabha Buddha bless Mr. Kwan, his body and mind attain comfort and reciting Namo Amituofo at ease. Namo Amituofo
