新加坡：外出关怀&传授皈依 Providing outdoor care with recitation ⎮ 2023.10.01

🙏因缘：昨日（星期六）临时接到大众来电说想要祈请净本师父前来家中，为其身体欠安的爸爸提供念佛关怀。来电者是对象之儿子，因情况显然有些紧急，因此他恳切地希望能请师父前来开示。刚好净本师父有在新加坡附近，因此今天特意前往他们的住所。
Yesterday (Saturday), we received a call from someone who expressed his wish to invite Master Jingben to their home to provide Nianfo care for his ailing father. The caller was the son of the target, and the situation appeared to be somewhat urgent. Therefore, he earnestly hoped that Master Jingben would come to provide guidance. Fortunately, Master Jingben happened to be near Singapore, so he made a special visit to their residence today.
▪这一家三口都很有善根。难得在此生病的因缘，一家人能够在师父面前敞开心扉，表达对彼此的感恩之情，并且愿意一起皈依佛门念佛。此时，许多曾经的矛盾和挂碍顿时得以化解。孝顺的儿子表达出一个愿望，如有来世，希望一家人还能够在团聚。师父引导说，在佛法来说，死亡并不是终结，生命永恒存在，因此最好能够在此生念佛到极乐世界，才能真正家亲眷属永团聚。
This family of three displayed great virtue in Amitabha Buddha. It was a rare occurrence in the face of illness-related circumstances that this family could open their hearts in front of Master Jingben, expressing their gratitude for one another and their willingness to take refuge in the Amitabha Buddha and practise Nianfo together. At this moment, many past conflicts and hindrances were resolved. The filial son expressed his wish that, their family could reunite in future lives. Master Jingben guided them by explaining that, in Buddhist teachings, death is not the end; life is eternal. Therefore, it is best to chant the Namo Amituofo together in this life and reach the Pure Land, where all family members are truly reunited forever.
▪最后，师父为一家三口以及其亲戚在阿弥陀佛佛像前传授皈。全家人一边念诵三皈依文词，一边流下感动的眼泪。师父最后开示到，全世界这么多人口，还能成为一家人已经是很难得的缘分；而更加难得可贵的是，成为一家人还能共同皈依三宝。师父也安慰父母说，尽管父母能够养育孩子，却无法陪孩子一辈子；但如今已经皈依三宝了，阿弥陀佛自然会引导着孩子。爸爸听完合掌向佛说：“阿弥陀佛，我把孩子托付交给您了。”同时对孩子说：“我把你交给阿弥陀佛照顾了。” 真诚之言语，令人感动。一家人能够一起念佛才是真正的法眷属、菩提眷属。
In the end, Master Jingben led the family of three and their relatives in taking refuge in the Triple Gem before the Amitabha Buddha. As they recited the Three Refuges text, tears of emotion flowed from their eyes. Master Jingben concluded with a reminder that in a world with so many people, it is already rare to become a family, but even more meaningful is to take refuge in the Triple Gem as a family together. He also consoled the parents, acknowledging that although parents can raise their children, they cannot accompany them throughout their entire lives. However, now that they have taken refuge in the Triple Gem, Amitabha Buddha will naturally guide their child. Upon hearing this, the father sincerely folded his hands and said to the Buddha, "Amitabha Buddha, I entrust my child to you." He also said to his child, "I entrust you to Amitabha Buddha's care." These heartfelt words moved everyone deeply. Being able to chant the Namo Amituofo together as a family is the true bond (relationship) of the Bodhi.
▪真如古德言：
普愿有情皆念佛， 临终往生极乐邦，
家亲眷属永团聚， 光寿如同大愿王。
As the old saying goes:
May all sentient beings universally chant the Buddha's name,
And at the moment of death, be reborn in the Land of Ultimate Bliss together.
May family members forever reunite in the Pure Land,
And their lives be as infinite as Amitabha Buddha.
▪祈愿此一家佛子，信佛念佛，蒙佛护念，身心安乐，最后能往生极乐。南无阿弥陀佛。
May this Buddhist family, through their faith and devotion in chanting the Buddha's name, receive the protection and blessings of the Amitabha Buddha, reaching peace of body and mind, and ultimately be reborn in the Land of Ultimate Bliss. Namo Amituofo
