新山分会：与医学院接念佛缘 Dharma connection with Medical University in Johor Bahru ⎮ 2023.10.14

🙏近期道场收到来自新山医学大学的祈请，因他们即将为儿童举办活动，其中负责的大学生有在学佛念佛，亦曾道场参加共修，因此借此因缘，希望能跟儿童们接上阿弥陀佛之缘。 

Recently, we were notified that one of the Medical Universities in Johor Bahru was planning to organize an event for children, and one of the medical students who is responsible for this event has experience in practising Nianfo and attended group sessions at the dharma centre. They hoped these children would be able to establish connection with Amitabha Buddha for this activity.

🙏净本师父答应了，并安排义工们准备好数十份念佛故事小本书、佛牌、念佛机、佛卡等结缘品。此医学生很有善根，说自己都有在念佛，也在学习吃素。师父鼓励他们说，所谓“公门之中好修行”，往后当了医生，除了尽心尽力，也可以鼓励病人们学佛念佛，这样就会很有意义。 

Master Jingben agreed to their request and arranged for volunteers to prepare several small books with stories related to Amitabha Buddha, Buddhist amulets, Nianfo devices, and Buddhist cards as items to establish a spiritual connection. This medical student has good karmic affinity with Amitabha Buddha, and she mentioned that she has been practising Nianfo and learning to be vegetarian recently. Master Jingben encouraged her by saying that it is beneficial to "practise Buddhism within the public domain," so in the future, as a doctor, not only she can serve with dedication, but also encourage the patients to Nianfo, which is truly meaningful.
