吉隆坡：外出关怀 Providing outdoor care with recitation ⎮ 2023.11.10

🙏因缘：在今日净本师父前往新山和新加坡之前，临时接到大众莲友祈请，因此来到吉隆坡双威医院给予老人家（龚老先生）提供念佛关怀。此老人家这个星期因为呼吸困难，因此入院一个月，加上身体情况已经走到末端，所以老人家希望见到师父给与开示。
Prior to Master Jingben's journey to Johor Bahru and Singapore today, he received an impromptu request from a follower to provide Nianfo care to an elderly person, Mr. Kon, who has been recently admitted to the Sunway Medical Centre in Kuala Lumpur due to respiratory difficulties. Due to his frail physical condition, the elderly gentleman expressed a desire to receive guidance from Master.
🙏老人家一开始见到师父就主动打招呼问候。师父亦有问候老人家目前感受如何。老人家说，我就是念佛就对了。老人家目前已接受自身的情况，也主动跟医生说，到时生命走到终点，不接受任何强制性治疗，让自己可以安详地离去。师父有鼓励他说，既然已经做了决定，剩下的就是念佛交给阿弥陀佛。老人家听到就点点头。
Upon meeting Master Jingben, the elderly man greeted him warmly. Master inquired about the elderly man's current state, to which he replied, "I still keep on reciting Namo Amituofo." The elderly man has come to terms with his condition and has informed the medical staff that when his life reaches its end, he wishes not to undergo any involuntary treatments and allow himself to leave peacefully. Master Jingben encouraged him that since he has made this decision, the remaining time is to entrust the recitation of Namo Amituofo to Amitabha. The elderly man nodded in agreement.
🙏师父也有开示到，人的生命其实永远不会结束。身体坏了，犹如人的衣服肮脏了、不能穿了，就需要换另外一件衣服一样。既然如此，不如接受阿弥陀佛救度到极乐世界去，可以得到永远安乐无有痛苦的境界。开示完，师父拿出佛卡给老人家。没想到老人家看到马上紧紧握住佛卡，放在胸中，似乎因为有看到阿弥陀佛，感到非常安心。
Master Jingben also shared that human life never truly ends. When the body deteriorates, it's akin to clothes becoming dirty and unwearable, necessitating a change into another set of clothes. Therefore, it is advisable to accept Amitabha Buddha's deliverance to the Pure Land, where eternal bliss and freedom from suffering can be attained. After the discourse, Master Jingben presented a Buddha card to the elderly man. To everyone's surprise, Mr. Kon tightly held onto the card, placing it close to his chest, seemingly finding great comfort in the presence of Amitabha Buddha.
🙏最后师父带着家属和老人家一起念佛。老人家虽然带着呼吸器，但是嘴巴还是可以跟着念佛。家属们也说，这几天老人家几乎都没有反应，昨天还一度呼吸困难，但没想到今天变得这么有精神，还跟师父互动这么多，还有念佛。师父也安慰家属说，老人家有接受自己的情况，已经是难得可贵，加上老人家对阿弥陀佛还是有依靠，那更加圆满。家属们也准备在老人家往生的时候就为他念佛。这非常难得可贵。
Lastly, Master Jingben led Mr, Kon and his family members in reciting Namo Amituofo together. Despite using a breathing apparatus, Mr. Kon was able to recite along with his mouth. The family members noted that in recent days, Mr. Kon had shown minimal response, and yesterday he was struggling with breathing. However, today he displayed remarkable vitality, interacting actively with Master Jingben and engaging in recitation. Master Jingben comforted the family, emphasizing the rare and precious acceptance Mr. Kon has demonstrated towards his situation, coupled with his reliance on Amitabha Buddha, making all things complete. The family is all prepared to Nianfo for him when he passes away, which is a truly valuable and rare gesture.
🙏祈愿弥陀加持龚老先生顺利往生净土。南無阿彌陀佛
May Amitabha bless Mr. Kon to a smooth rebirth to the Pure Land. Namo Amituofo.
