▪在2023年12月24日，新加坡净土宗弥陀寺举行了一场庄严的弥陀诞暨皈依法会。此次吸引了数百名信众参与。这一天，法会不仅庆祝了阿弥陀佛的圣诞，同时也见证了百位信徒正式成为佛子的重要时刻。
On December 24, 2023, the Amitabha Temple of the Pure Land Buddhim in Singapore held a solemn Amitabha Buddha's Birthday and Refuge Ceremony. This event attracted hundreds of devotees to participate. On this day, the ceremony not only celebrated the holy birth of Amitabha Buddha but also marked the important moment when a hundred devotees officially became Buddhists.
▪在法会中，净本法师以风趣幽默和深入浅出的方式，向我们转达了阿弥陀佛欲拯救众生的悲心，强调了阿弥陀佛与众生的深刻缘分。师父生动地描述了念佛的种种益处，并详细解释了皈依的重要性和意义。师父说，皈依不仅是与佛的信仰承诺，更是个人正式信仰佛教的开始。
During the ceremony, Master Jingben conveyed Amitabha Buddha's compassionate desire to save all beings in a humorous and approachable manner, emphasizing the profound connection between Amitabha Buddha and sentient beings. The master vividly described the various benefits of chanting the Buddha's name and explained in detail the importance and meaning of taking refuge. He said that conversion is not only a commitment of faith to the Buddha but also the beginning of one's formal adherence to Buddhism.
▪虽然新皈依的佛子们或来自不同的生活背景，但却共同表达了对阿弥陀佛的向往。在师父的引导下，大众一同在佛前虔诚念诵三皈依文，正式表达了对三宝的依止。
Although the newly refuge Buddhists come from different backgrounds, they all expressed their longing for Amitabha Buddha. Under the guidance of the master, the followers devoutly chanted the Three Refuges in front of the Buddha, formally expressing their reliance on the Three Gems.
▪法会结束时，莲友们纷纷表达了他们通过这次法会，心中充满了法喜，并且对未来的解脱之路感受到无比的希望。因此，这次弥陀诞暨皈依法会，不仅仅是一个仪式，更是大众人生信仰的一个重要转折点，这将对他们的未来产生深远的影响。这一天，无疑会成为了新加坡弥陀寺和所有佛子们的美好记忆。
At the end of the ceremony, the participants expressed that they were filled with Dharma joy through this ceremony and felt immense hope for the path of liberation in the future. Thus, the Amitabha Buddha's Birthday and Refuge Ceremony was not just a ritual but an important turning point in the life of faith for the people. It will have a profound impact on their future. This day will undoubtedly become a beautiful memory for temple and all participants.
